ABYC’s nationally accredited certification program provides standards-based, continuing technical education for marine technicians throughout the industry.
AMBA-Certified Program
The American Mold Builders Association utilized a scientific process to develop an AMBA-certified program to assess and certify the skills of front-line mold manufacturing workers, from entry-level through the first level of supervision within all sectors of the industry.
Advanced Manufacturing Technical Education Collaborative (AMTEC)
The Advanced Manufacturing Technical Education Collaborative (AMTEC) is a leading certifying organization for the nation’s mechatronics technicians in automotive and advanced manufacturing. Their assessments measure competency in general maintenance mechatronics focused on the needs of automotive manufacturers and their suppliers, as well as advanced manufacturers.
Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS)

HBI & NAHB Certification
The Home Builders Institute (HBI) offers industry-recognized certifications for multiple levels of residential construction trade occupations including entry/helper through superintendent/management. HBI’s certification assessments are based on the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Skills Standards and are recognized by more than 140,000 NAHB builder members. The certifications allow individuals to enter the job market with an industry-recognized, portable credential validated by the industry.
While formal training isn’t required to sit for a certification assessment, HBI encourages completion of the corresponding HBI curriculum (PACT/RCA). Institute for Healthcare Facilities Engineering Advancement Certification
The Institute for Healthcare Facilities Engineering Advancement (IHFEA) has been established in coordination with the Healthcare Facilities Leadership and Technician program at Owensboro Community & Technical College along with numerous healthcare facilities professionals and organizations. With the goal to establish a clear and effective pathway of education and professional development for the recruitment, retention, and advancement of healthcare facilities technicians. Creating opportunity and a career pathway for underserved communities, students, and healthcare technicians is a core value. Ensuring the most remote healthcare facilities technician will benefit from our efforts is more than just a goal, we designed our services to create the greatest access to education, testing, and networking possible.
MSSC Certification
The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) is an industry-led, training, assessment, and certification system focused on the core skills and knowledge needed by the nation’s front-line production and material-handling workers. As the leading certifying body for the nation’s front-line manufacturing production and supply chain logistics workers, MSSC’s certification programs allow students and workers to document their knowledge. In addition to these two programs, MSSC also offers a Certified Forklift Technician Certification.

PTEX Certification
The North American Process Technology Alliance (NAPTA) is the standard–bearer of the PTEC curriculum. NAPTA audits PTEC degree programs in North America and endorses those that meet its criteria. The PTEX-CR exam is used as a standard for applied process technology knowledge.
PHCC Certification
The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC) has a long history of helping plumbing, heating, and cooling contractors be the best in the business. The apprentice and journeyman training programs are designed to help students learn both the theoretical and practical applications of a highly skilled trade while helping plumbing and HVACR contractors develop a well-educated workforce.
Ready For Industry® Certification
Ready for Industry® helps individuals build awareness and preparation for careers in high-demand industries. We provide a separate assessment for each of the industries of construction, healthcare, information technology, logistics, and manufacturing. The assessments measure general knowledge of the industry, including the common processes, terminology, and careers in the industry, allowing new employees to be more productive in the workplace. RV Technician Certification
The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) is the national trade association representing RV manufacturers and their component parts suppliers who together build more than 98 percent of all RVs produced in the U.S., and approximately 60 percent of RVs produced worldwide. RVIA developed a comprehensive strategic plan for increasing technical training, certification, and employment in anticipation of making a significant investment in reinventing RV tech recruitment and training.
SME Certification
The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) has been supporting the manufacturing industry for over 85 years. They work closely with manufacturing professionals, companies, educators, schools, and communities, and share knowledge and resources that generate solutions to manufacturing industry challenges. Their certification programs are led by professionals within the manufacturing industry who guide the development and continuous improvement of the bodies of knowledge and competency models upon which the certifications are based.
